# What's TimeBox

TimeBox is a revolutionary decentralized application (DApp), inspired by the traditional concept of a time capsule. In the past, people cherished placing items, photos, and letters in a time capsule, burying them underground to be unearthed years later, reviving beautiful memories of the past. TimeBox digitizes this concept, allowing you to create your own digital time capsule. You can record your current thoughts, emotional expressions to friends and family, and even predictions for the future in TimeBox. Additionally, you can include photos, videos, or files. Finally, set a lock-in period (or opt not to), and your content will be permanently minted onto the blockchain.

Every TimeBox you mint is an NFT, allowing you to send it to anyone. For a private TimeBox, only the owner of the TimeBox can open it. In another section, we will provide a detailed explanation of the additional features of TimeBox and how all this is made possible.

Whether it's documenting aspects of one's present life, personal reflections, world views, aspirations for the future, or heartfelt confessions to loved ones, TimeBox can accommodate it all. It encrypts and stores your information permanently on the blockchain. When you open and read the words and view the photos you once wrote, it feels like stepping back in time, reliving the emotions and scenes of yesteryears. This enchanting experience reconnects us with our past selves, allowing us to embrace the ever-changing nature of time and savor the brilliance of life.

TimeBox offers a unique journey to converse with our former selves and relish the passage of time, encapsulating the magic of preserving memories and emotions in a truly remarkable way.
