Minting a TimeBox

Minting a TimeBox is quite simple. You write down the text you want to record and can also save some photos or files. However, there is a limit to the size of the files you can store, which you can check on the Create TimeBox page. Your content will be encrypted and stored on the blockchain.

You have the option to lock the TimeBox. If you choose to lock it, say for one year, then no one will be able to view its contents during the lock period. Regardless of whether the TimeBox is locked or not, you can send it to anyone.

Since storing content on the blockchain incurs costs, minting your TimeBox also requires some expense. Here, you'll be paying with Time Tokens (learn more about $testTime Token here, find out about fee calculation here). If you're a first-time user, we provide free Time Tokens which you simply need to claim. It's important to note that a wallet address can only claim this offer once (if you claim on the BNB Chain, you cannot claim again on other chains)

Guidelines:

Every TimeBox is an NFT

Each TimeBox you mint is an NFT, meaning it's a type of asset that will forever exist in your wallet. Of course, you can also send it to any wallet address. We have created a unique and beautiful pattern for the cover of your TimeBox NFT, much like the one in the image below.

Transfer TimeBox

Indeed, users can freely share the TimeBoxes they have crafted with anyone, including their family members. The process of sending a TimeBox is incredibly simple and straightforward, akin to sending a Bitcoin transaction. However, it's essential to be aware of the implications of sending a TimeBox to someone else.

Once you choose to share your TimeBox with another individual, you effectively transfer ownership of the NFT to the recipient. Consequently, you may not be able to access the contents of the TimeBox. This design ensures that privacy and security are maintained, as only the new owner will have complete control over the TimeBox and its contents.

Support for Multiple Chains

TimeBox supports multiple mainstream blockchains (specific details can be found here). You can choose to use TimeBox on your preferred chain, such as BNB Chain or Arbitrum. You even have the option to transfer TimeBox through a bridge to other blockchains we support, for example, moving from Ethereum to Polygon.
